Bacardi Reserva (40%) - Review

Bacardi Reserva (40%) - Review

Bacardi Reserva - Enjoying the sun

Rum Info:

Bacardi! The most recognized brand of rum in the world. Bacardi has a number of aged rum and flavours, with Reserva being described as “a fairly rare golden rum.”

Description:

Not a great start though, a disappointing aroma, with near non-existent flavor coming through. A slight hint of citrus that is completely consumed by the very strong smell of alcohol, which could easily be mistaken for paint stripper. The potent taste of pure alcohol matches the smell. Split views between the RumWithThreeLime drinkers of tasting pure alcohol verses some smokey oak notes. Nevertheless, the after burn is harsh and the rum is very thin. The whole drink from bottle to taste is quite disappointing.

Best Serving Suggestions:

Tricky one! Due to the nature of the rum this really needs to be accompanied by stronger flavours to bring it to life. A tiki punch would fit that bill.

Ratings:

2 out of 5 limes

The most recognised rum manufacturer in the world wont be talking up this one to much.
