Brugal Añejo Superior Rum - standing proud |
Rum Info:
This beautifully bottled gold rum is produced in the Dominican Republic. Brugal Añejo Rum has passed through five generations and spanned over 125 years of quality distillation. founded by Don Andres Brugal, a Spanish national who migrated to the Dominican Republic after picking up a few tricks or two on making rum when in Cuba. This brand now has a variety of white and aged rum within its portfolio and is one of 'The Three B's' which represents two other rums that are exported out of these islands. Brugal Añejo Rum is aged in old whisky barrels and blended with rums aged between 3 to 5 years.

Brugal Añejo Superior Rum - Glugging away |
Description:
This lovely golden coloured rum really catches the light. The whole experience of pouring Brugal Añejo is so different to other rums. The bottle is loosely wrapped with a string net and the nozzle of the bottle is semi blocked, creating a slow pour and a delightful, glugging noise. The strong smell is aromatic, refreshing and has a hint of chocolate. To taste the hint of chocolate comes through along with a rich woody oak. Brugal Añejo is a very smooth rum with a minimal kick that lingers in the mouth.

Brugal Añejo - neat with O. Lodge |
Best Serving Suggestion:
This is a very flexible rum and can easily lend itself to our patented Rum and Coke with 3 wedges of Limes. For the more adventures try shaking with 2 shots of Brugal Añejo, 1/2 shot of Grand Marnier, 3 wedges of limes, half a crushed mango and topped with a dash of grenadine and pineapple juice.
